How it works

  1. Step 1

    Set it up in minutes

Start from this idea. The words are written for you, and you choose the cause, the price per square and your currency.

  2. Step 2

    Share one link

Post it, email it or print the QR poster. Every share shows your calendar filling up.

  3. Step 3

    Watch it fill

Supporters pick their squares and add a name or message. Payments go through Stripe to the account you connect.

Words to start from

Your campaign begins with this description. Change anything you like before you publish.

I'm taking on a month-long challenge to raise money for a cause I care about.

Sponsor a square on my calendar and add your name or a message to keep me going. Every square is a reason not to give up halfway through the month.

I'll name the charity I'm supporting, explain what the money will fund and share how the challenge went at the end of the month.

Questions about January challenge fundraisers

When should I run a fundraiser for January challenge?

January, or any month-long personal challenge. Dates vary by year and location, so check the date where you are and open your grid a week or two before.

How does this calendar fundraising grid work?

You set up your calendar-shaped grid on GoodGrid and share one link or a printable QR poster. Supporters sponsor squares and can add a name or message, so the calendar fills up as money comes in. Payments are processed by Stripe and go to the account you connect.

How much does it cost to run a fundraiser on GoodGrid?

Publishing is free and GoodGrid takes no percentage of what you raise. On the free plan there’s one £10 fee per campaign when it reaches £200 (or the equivalent in another supported currency). We charge the card you save when you publish, separately from sponsorship payments. Stripe’s card fee comes out of each payment automatically, so there’s nothing to pay up front. Running lots of campaigns? With the £9/month plan, campaigns that reach the threshold while you’re subscribed don’t pay the £10 fee. See what you’d keep.

Who receives the money?

The money goes to the Stripe account of the person or group running the fundraiser. Your page should name the charity, project or person you are supporting and explain how the money will be passed on. Fundraisers on GoodGrid are independent and are not official partnerships with the organisers of named events.

Can I change the words, shape, price or currency?

Yes. This idea is a starting point. You can edit the words, shape, currency and price per square before you publish.

This is an editable starting point, not a live fundraiser or a promise of results. Dates vary by year and location. Named events and causes belong to their organisers; fundraisers on GoodGrid are independent, not official partnerships.
