For schools and PTAs

Fund your school appeal, one square at a time

Set up a fundraising grid for your playground, library, trip or Christmas fair. Families, staff and local businesses sponsor squares and add a name, message or logo, and everyone watches the grid fill up.

Free to set up and publish. Parents don't need an account to sponsor a square.

Find us in the PTA+ supplier directory (opens in a new tab).

How it works for a PTA

  1. Step 1

    Set up your grid

Start from our school template. Choose the number of squares, the price per square and a shape, and add a photo of what you're raising for.

  2. Step 2

Set up payments for your PTA

Your treasurer completes Stripe's setup for your PTA. Sponsorships go to your PTA's linked Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your PTA's bank account.

  3. Step 3

    Share it with families

Send the link in the school newsletter or parent WhatsApp groups, print the QR poster, and show the grid on a big screen at the fair.

Invite other committee members to help. Only the owner manages payments and publishing; editors and promoters can help with the words, pictures and sharing.

Before you start: a checklist for your treasurer

Stripe may ask for these details during payment setup. Having them ready can help avoid delays. Requirements vary by country and organisation.

  • One committee officer to set it up. Usually the treasurer or chair. Stripe checks their identity and may ask for photo ID and their home address.
  • Your PTA's own bank account. Use the PTA's account details for payouts, not a personal account, so the money is easy to account for.
  • How your PTA is set up. When Stripe asks for your type of organisation, choose the option that matches your PTA, for example a registered charity or an unincorporated association. If you're a registered charity, have your charity number ready.
  • Your PTA's name and address. Usually the school's address.

You can build and preview your grid before Stripe is connected. You can publish once Stripe says your account can take card payments. Bank payouts may take a little longer while Stripe finishes its checks. Read the Stripe setup guide.

What it costs

Publishing is free and GoodGrid takes no percentage of what you raise. On the free plan there’s one £10 fee per campaign when it reaches £200 (or the equivalent in another supported currency). We charge the card you save when you publish, separately from sponsorship payments. Stripe’s card fee comes out of each payment automatically, so there’s nothing to pay up front. Running lots of campaigns? With the £9/month plan, campaigns that reach the threshold while you’re subscribed don’t pay the £10 fee. See what you’d keep.
