Understand fees, currencies and payouts

It is free to publish on the free plan, and GoodGrid takes no percentage of sponsorships. A free-plan campaign runs for one year from publication.

Once a free-plan campaign reaches £200 in qualifying sponsorships, a one-off £10 GBP fee is due for that campaign. Outside the UK, the threshold is the verified GBP equivalent, not a fixed USD 200 or EUR 200. Optional tips do not count towards it.

The £10 is billed separately, not deducted from sponsorships. You save a card when publishing; the fee is not charged then. If it remains unpaid for 14 days, new sponsorships pause. Existing funds and records are not removed.

Alternatively, the optional £9/month plan allows unlimited published campaigns while covered. A campaign that qualifies during subscription coverage has its success fee waived permanently; a fee already owed before subscribing still needs paying.

Check the Pricing page and the price shown before agreeing to a payment. Stripe's own fees still apply on either plan.

Stripe's processing fees and any currency-conversion, banking, refund or dispute costs are separate. A campaign's raised total is not a promise of the same amount arriving in the organiser's bank account.

Supporters see the campaign's sponsorship currency. GoodGrid platform fees are priced in GBP. Your location does not silently change an existing campaign's currency, price or saved payment destination.

If your payment card or bank uses another currency, its provider or Stripe may apply conversion charges. Check the checkout total and currency; do not assume a currency symbol means your local currency.

Stripe controls the payout schedule and any account review or reserve. First payouts can take longer. Check your Stripe account for the current status and any outstanding requirements.

Eligible Stripe accounts can use Instant Payouts, subject to Stripe's availability, limits and fees.
